Friday the 13th
By ShaneForYou onAs a fairly frequent movie-goer and a huge fan of horror flicks, I was pretty excited to go see this movie when it came to theatres. I expected a great, horrific movie, one which would leave me trembeling in my seat.
That is not what I got.
This movie seems to mostly use the element of gore as an attempt at making this movie scary. Blood and guts, however, are not scary - it's just gross. Therefore, there was nothing really frightening about the movie.
I noticed that there is also a considerably large amount of unnecessary female nudity. I don't know about you, but as far as I'm concerned, that ruins a movie. It makes me think of the movie's creators as perverted characters, and reflects on how I view the entire movie.
Now, I'm not saying that nudity in movies means the director is a pervert - not at all. However, I do think that if there is constant female nudity, none or little of which is necessary to make the movie a success, it sends a bad message.
I feel like watching this movie was a waste of my money - I would rather have just waited for it to come to Blockbusters.
