I purchased my Frigidaire smooth top range 9 years ago. I am happy with it. I bake a moderate amount and prepare dinner at home most nights using the cook top and/or the oven. The flat top cooking elements have worked well though the largest burner has needed replacement twice. I find the flat top is extremely easy to keep clean with windex and a paper towel when it has cooled, and windex with a razor blade paint scraper does an excellent job removing cooked on materials when a pot has boiled over. The self cleaning oven cleans well, though after 9 years the oven racks no longer clean to a shine. Oven temperature is acceptably even and there is an adjustment screw for getting the temperature fairly exact. Only flat bottom pots (no pyrex) can be used on the cooktop. Overall the range has given excellent service and I would buy a Fridgidaire smooth top in the future. Because of the cost of service calls, it makes sense to get the extended warranty from Frigidaire when you buy and renew it.
