I'm normally a big fan of Frigidaire products,And this specific model had all the features I was looking for, very roomy, large shelves on the door to hold gallons of milk,all items put in the door stayed really cold unlike other models,a cold meat drawer that stayed at the perfect temp to prevent spoilage, the freeze had a special shelf to hold ice cream to prevent it from getting super hard, the water and ice dispenser had a night light, replace filter indicator, cubed or crushed ice. It had everything I was looking for.
But this make of side by side has been problemactic for me, it was purchased 1 yr ago, from the day it was bought I had to call Frigidaire several times as the water dispenser didn't work, twice they had someone come to my house from there repair department and so call fix it, neither time did it work, finally the last call I made they sent me the part told me over the phone step by step what to do the resolve the problem and finally I got water come from the dispenser, 6 months later mind you. at that time I told them the hinge on the fridge door was grinding at the bottom, was told it was nothing to be concerned about, just last month the hinge actually broke. So once again we had to wait for a part as it was out of stock apparently alot of complaints have went in for this part.
I recommend frigidaire but be really careful with this model.

We've had our Frigidaire for near 5 years now. It's been pretty good except the ice maker is persnickety. We've had to call techs out and they have no clue as to why it behaves the way it does. Sometimes it makes ice, sometimes it doesn't. Otherwise I love the fridge.
THat sounds terrible. Sounds like you got a lemon. I would think after 6 months of the water dispenser not working they would just replace the thing, and if not I would have pressed for that very thing. Thanks for the information!
I hate our Frididare. Also problems with the ice dispenser - maybe it's more common a problem then they think!! I will never buy another.
Wait, their technicians could not fix it, but they could walk you thru the repair over the phone!!!! Frigidaire has good products normally so thanks for the warning on this one.
