The Fur Real Newborn Baby Cub is somewhat realistic. It does make the noises like a real lion cub. One of the things I did not like about this toy was how hard the animal is. It is very difficult for a small child to give this animal a loving hug. And sleeping with these animals are out of the question which most children like to do. Another thing I did not like was the noise the animal makes when it moves. I am sure this is something that could not be changed, but it would be nice if you did not have to hear the gears moving. This toy is good indicator to see if you child really likes animals and if they would do well with a real pet. In conclusion I would recommend this stuffed animal to any parent whose child really loves real animals.
