Furreal Friends Butterscotch Pony By Jeanette Dusci on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My three year old little girl received this animated pony for Christmas. She told Santa at the mall that she wanted Butterscotch and he said "Well that should be easy enough". No doubt he was envisioning the little hard candies in the yellow wrapper! Well, I must say that I did not relish the thought of spending so much on a stuffed animal and this was a completely extravagant purchase. My daughter continued to tell anyone that asked that Santa was bringing her Butterscotch. I found it online one night for about $100 less than regular price and I just DID IT! I bought Butterscotch! Hasbro makes a whole line of these Furreal pets that move and sound like real animals. Butterscotch is large enough for my child to sit on. (There is an 80 pound weight limit). The pony makes realistic horse sounds and swishes its tail and moves its head as you interact with it. It also blinks its eyes and comes with a carrot that you can "feed" it and also a brush to groom it with. The look on my daughter's face was almost worth the guilt I felt over spending so much money on a toy. But, they're only little for a very short time, so hey!!
Hasbro Butterscotch pony Purchased at: Target.com Price: 199.99

I agree that they are young for such a short time, might as well make them completely happy. I think that it sounds worth it personally. I have seen them in action at a friends house that she got for her daughter. Ithink they are adorable!
I saw this at Target. It was way out of my price range to purchase it for a gift. Every time we go to Target my granddaughter would want to play with it. I hope your daughter enjoys this fantastic toy. Not everyone is going to have it. Great that you found it on sale. Makes it that much better. I like the way it interacts when you try and feed it. Very cute but expensive stuffed animal!
I saw Butterscotch at a few stores around the holidays and was very happy that my daughter was way too old for it and my son hated it. I know had they wanted one Santa would have sheeled out the 200.00 here too. Glad to hear your little one loves it.
