I have been unbelievably satisfied with my G4 Apple iBook. I opted for the 12" screen, so it's remarkably portable, and the battery life, while not amazing, is sufficiently long to be able to take it out places and not immediately have to worry about plugging it in to an outlet. This makes it great for working at the library or a coffee shop. I have only had one problem with the computer, and it happened while I was still under warrenty. Apple did a great job taking care of the issue that I had. Even though I had to send the computer in for repair, it was back to me fixed and working like new within a week's time. Apple includes some great applications right out of the box. The iLife suite programs are easy to use and really useful.
