The Galanz microwave oven is pretty good. It has a 30 minute turn dial for timer and a turn dial for settings. There are 10 different settings, your usual low, medium, high, defrost and specific food items options. It is 850 watts. Just wanted a microwave for daily use after old one had died after long use. Went for the 2nd lowest priced one at Walmart. The Galanz microwave was only 30 bucks. I haven't noticed any difference in cooking time from my previous more expensive microwave. I've cooked t.v. dinners, popcorn and chicken noodle soups, probably because it's 850 watts. The door opens out all the way and very easily too. Some things I dislike is that you can't punch in the time yourself. Also, once the food is done, you hear a ding which is not as loud as the beep, but still okay. For college student on a budget, this microwave is okay. I've only had it for one year so can't say if it will last you a long time. Hope this helped.
