Galco Safari Ching Sling By bsd650 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Safari Ching Sling appears to be a fine leather Rifle Sling which you would never expect to stand up to the ruggedness of hunting. Well it sure surprised me. It held up unbeliveably well to mud, water and being banged around. Not only does it keep it's shape, appearence and color, it also maintains its comfort as a shooting sling after being exposed to the worst that hunting in the Southern swampy areas can give.

The cost of a Ching Sling is not cheap compared to a nylon sling, but it is so worth the extra money. Slinging the rifle over your shoulder and carrying it for long periods of time is more then comfortable with this sling due to it's ability to use your thumb to hold the elbow strap. The Sling itself is wide enough not to dig into you.

Using the sling as a shooters sling is comfortable as well if properly adjusted while sitting in a deer stand and your arm won't fall asleep.

This sling is one every hunter and shooter should have on their favorite rifle. Turkey Hunters will also enjoy it's benefit by using it on their shotguns.

Leather slings are breathable, have a bit of natural give without sagging for many year, and generally feel oh so much more comfortable than the nylon ones do. For $50.00 this is a very good sling.

This sounds like a great gun sling. Thanks for sharing.
