One of the best video game magazine I have ever read would have to be Game Informer. Game Informer gives you the latest and greatest information about video games on all platforms. Even if you do not own any platforms, it will give you get reviews about some PC games as well. This magazine is published monthly, I received a free subscription since I signed up for the Gamestop discount card.

I like to know about future releases and to know if the new video games coming out are actually any good. What I like about Game Informer is that usually the rating that they give the video game is what I think of the game when I actually get to play it. Their reviews are usually right on. This way, I know when I should buy a video game, and when to not waste my money.

Another nice thing about this magazine is that there is not a lot of advertising. You just get a lot of information. The last couple of pages in the magazine show cheats and tips for various video games so it is nice to know especially when you are having problems completing a task on a game. Even if I had to pay for the magazine it would be well worth the price.

If you are looking for a video game magazine for yourself or to give as a gift, I would highly recommend Game Informer. It has a lot of good information and it is well worth the money.
