Game Over, the VG metal pioneers with lyrics

Video game covers are not a new thing, but for a band to do them with lyrics is.The metal band Game Over, headed by Wire Mcquaid, has done just that.In their first demo cd, they show that you can combine the two and make a great product.The lyrics themselves are kinda cheesy though, but nothing that cannot be compared to the lyric quality of the 80s metal bands.The instrumentation is amazing though, and very very heavy.The medley Little Mac's Confession is a very metal take on the game Punch Out, basically taking you through every song in the game.The only drawback to me personally was the last track, Heavy Mario.The song sounds very off key, and does not fit the genre well.Other than that though, the cd is very very solid.Highly recommended.
