Gap Maternity Jeans
By kateri27 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011I love to be fashionable and basically live in Gap bootcut strech jeans, so when I became pregnant I had to invest in a few pairs of maternity jeans.
The Gap Maternity line is very stylish. They had my favorite bootcut stretch in a darker denim and the lines on the bootcut stretch jeans were great.
The problem with these jeans is the elastic waistband. As anyone who has worn maternity clothes knows these elastic wistbands are a godsend because they let the clothes stretch with your growing baby bump.Well the fabric surrounding the jeans ripped the second time I wore them.I stitched it up, but they ripped in another area.I actually threw these jeans out at the end of my pregnancy because they would not stop coming apart at the belly.
I only wore them for about five months (I was in normal jeans the first four months).I think jeans should last at least a year, so this was disappointing.Next time I will try a different brand.
Update On Apr 25, 2008: I found myself looking on line at these again and although I loved them I am leary about the waistband scrunching together again.

I guess when it comes to maternity jeans you really need to shell out big bucks for quality stuff
Gosh, you'd think for $60 a pair of maternity jeans would be at least decent. Too bad you weren't able to take them back to Gap. I wonder if they are aware their jeans do this? Thanks for the review.
