Garnet Ring By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

While browsing for jewelry online to sell in my collectibles booth, I came across a lovely garnet ring that I just had to have for myself! (Well, that's the problem with shopping for jewelry. It's difficult to know what to sell and what to keep.)

Apparently the seller gets exclusive jewelry from the Home Shopping Network for resale. This ring is in a Sterling Silver Platinum base, with 4 double-pronged settings holding the Brazilian oval garnet. Small round white absolutes (which I call rhinestones) are on either side of the garnet, as well as across the front sides of the band. The Sterling Silver Platinum jewelry is more resistant to tarnishing, denting, scratching and bending, due to the 1% platinum. (This was news to me, as I am no jewelry expert by any means.) The garnet is 4.6 carats, with a polished finished.

It is supposedly a $160.00 value, and I won it in the Ebay auction for $30.00. All I can say with confidence is that it is a beautiful ring, and it looks nice on my finger. For that money, who could ask for more? The shipping was a little slow, but the ring was worth the wait!
