Gateway, Is The Right Way For Me ; By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
First off, I want to give you the specifications that the box says about this computer, then I will tell you how I feel about it. My original laptop fried on my several months back and after researching for awhile this is the one I chose and it was bought locally at a Wal-Mart!
Here is what the box said:
Ultrabright 15.4" widescreen LCD , Presents vivid 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution with more than 16 million colors. 2GHz Intel Pentium dual core processor T3200, Delivers the power of two 64-bit processing cores . 4 GB of DDR2 system memory , 250 GB hard drive . Also Multi-format DVD+/-RW drive with dual-layer support, Lets you play and burn DVDs and CDs for music or data . 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN , Connects to wireless home and office networks or to Wi-Fi hotspots for convenient Internet access. 5-in-1 digital media card reader , Windows Vista Home Premium.
Now what I have to say is I LOVE IT! The picture on the display for this review was taken with the camera on this laptop. I love the camera, it videos and takes photos. You can also use this camera for SKYPE, windows messenger and more!
I love how fast this computer is and how much you can do at once with it getting sluggish. I have not found anything that I cannot do on this laptop, plush it allows me to sit in my recliner when my back is flared up. If you are looking for a great computer and not a terribly high price this is the one for you, and this is my first Gateway I have ever owned.
Gateway M-7315u Purchased at: Wal-Mart Price: $698.00

I have a Gateway desktop, and I love it. The first Gateway I've ever had, and no complaints.
nice, sounds great for the price..with those features and all
i've owned 2 desktop Gateway's and bought this laptop on a special sale at Walmart for $498.00 It's the bomb!!! I love it.....super fast, great webcam, big hard drive.....you can't go wrong with this one!
I purchased this computer at the beginning of February. Like your purchase, it was purchased at Walmart at the stated price. For years I have purchased my computers from Dell because of the overall success I have had with them. However, given a conscientiousness of the state of our economy, money in my pockets, and everytime I have had a question or a possible problem with my computers I have to speak to someone in India, the Philippines, etc. I decided to give Gateway a chance. Right now, it has proven to be one of the best overall choices made. cjaa1
As a follow-up to my earlier Email. This week I contacted Gatway support concerning a problem with a friend's MX 6454. To my surprise the tech was located in India. I made my recent purchase of the M-7315u because of Gateway's advertisements and hearing HSN say that their support personnel is state side. To make a switch from Dell was a major one for me. I am somewhat sadden. To be fair, my laptop is working well and support has been favorable. cjmc
