Recently, while scanning the newspapers, I was surprised to learn that the computer manufacturer GATEWAY backed by Acer had resurfaced with two new sleek notebooks, LT2005n and ID5802y. I distinctly remember walking into a Gateway showroom few years back and being captivated with the wide range they had to offer.

The LT2005n is a small, compact and light weight notebook weighing a mere 1.27kg. It boasts of an Intel Atom N280 (1.66GHz) processor with a 160GB hard disk and 1GB RAM.

The screen resolution is 1024 x 600 pixels. This notebook runs on Window XP Home edition and has a 10.1 inches

Moreover, it has a unique command feature that allows users to scroll and zoom in or out of pictures using the touchpad.

The ID5802y has an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600(2.4Hz) processor that possesses 2GB RAM and a 320 GB hard disk. It runs on a Windows Vista Home Premium. Its 15 inch LED backlit screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This notebook is great for playing games and has features of photo editing too. Both notebooks come with additional features like built-in card reader, intergrated webcam, WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities including three USB ports.
