Gateway T 6842 Laptop With Windows Vista By moonbeam973 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is my very first laptop computer. I had used friends' laptops before, but I had never had my own. I got this Gateway at Best Buy at just the right time. I bought it on Halloween 2008, and there weren't very many of these left, because they were half off. I didn't know much about laptops, but I knew that Gateway was a good brand. When I explained to the salesman what I needed it for, he assured me that this one would more than meet my needs (and it has), and I couldn't pass up such a great deal. This laptop has a webcam, (1.3 megapixels - it's not the greatest resolution, but it works), DVD+RW capabilities, 4 GB memory, and an Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 2.0 GHz processor (whatever THAT means). I don't care for Windows Vista - seems to me Vista has a lot of bugs to work out, but the computer suits my needs. I can download and play hidden object games, write papers, video chat with far away friends and relatives, etc. It seems a little heavy, especially when I'm lugging it around for an extended period of time, but it's a good size - the screen is nice and big, which is nice when I'm streaming television shows that I missed. Since this laptop is over a year old, it is probably obsolete, but it is working out well for me.
