Gb Pet Rover Good For One Outing By Joan Young on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This is a handy car accessory for traveling with your pet, but it is only adequate for one meal and a couple of drinks.
This is a hard plastic box, approximately 8" x10.5" x 5" that comes apart into two sections. One side is a container for water with a screw-off lid. The other side holds dog food, and has a depression for a water bowl. The liquid container can be filled with water at a regular sink if you tip it a little bit. It holds about 3 quarts of water.
I think the GB Pet Rover dog lunch box came in this size and also a larger size. I probably should have bought the larger one. In theory, I still think that this is a great idea. In reality, I never used it very much.
For some reason the dog that I bought it for didn't like to eat or drink out of it. He was fussy. I also think that I had the wrong kind of expectations. I was trying to use it for a weekend trip, and this only holds enough for one meal- at least for an active 40 pound dog.
I also was hoping that I could leave it open in the car with a little bit of water in it. That way the dog (who rode in the flat back of my hatchback car) could have a drink when he wanted while we were driving. It did not tip over, but it was so shallow that water would slop out of it.
I haven't used it enough to say whether the parts that snap will remain tight enough to hold well, or if they would wear down and get loose.
It's still a great concept, but I wish I hadn't paid $10 for it, since I don't think I got that much use out of it.

That's awesome and would definitely come in handy on a road trip. My wiener dog would love it. Very cool
I think this would be great for a day trip with your dog or cat. What a neat idea!
