GE Handheld Cassette Voice Recorder- Doesnt Work
By Joan Young onA Valuable Product if Only it Worked...
This small tape recorder is a product that is sorely needed by what is probably now a small group of people. Although most people have gone digital, I need a way to have portable voice recording that does not cost as much and can be stored without putting it on a computer.
Its a medium hand-held size, and uses standard cassette tapes.
For years I have used the older model of this product which still works fine. I bought the newer one because it weighs a bit less. I have now had two of the newer model and neither one works right. The motor stopped working (or the belt broke, or something that caused it to not move the tape) after I had owned the first one less than a year. After spending an hour convincing the store that I was not just too stupid to know how to use a tape recorder, they gave me a replacement.
Within 2 weeks the same thing happened to the replacement. Needless to say I am back to using the old one.

Congratulations on being accepted to your Master's program and welcome to Capella University! My name is Tony Ajsenberg and I will be your Academic Advisor for your Information Technology program. Through periodic advising sessions I will be supporting you by helping you plan out your degree requirements, providing academic resources and tools, and by answering any questions you might have. You are beginning an important new venture in pursuing your Master's degree and I want to be sure that you have a solid plan for attaining your goals. To that end, we need to schedule a time that we can talk on the phone for 20-30 minutes during the second or third week of your course. We'll discuss your goals and your timeframe for reaching them. Together, we will plan out the first year of your program. My typical work day runs from 7:00-4:00 PM CST Monday through Friday, with extended evening hours to 7:30 pm on Tuesday. Please respond with a couple of dates and times (be sure to include your time zone) that work for you, and the appropriate number for me to call. I will respond with an email confirming our appointment. I encourage you to take advantage of the University Orientation Seminar which provides important information and resources for new learners. This seminar begins the week prior to your First Course and is available through your first quarter at Capella. It will also be important for you to access and begin participating in First Course early in the first week of your program. In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you regarding this important initial advising appointment! It is really a shame that your upgraded model ended up doing nothing much but save you money on batteries....
