Ge Microwave Convection Oven By Susan137 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is my GE microwave and convection oven. It microwaves as well as bakes, broils, browns, etc on the convection setting. I purchased this microwave about a year and a half ago. It has a nice large capcity and is easy to use. My one complaint is that it started Arc'ing - as if I had put something metal in it - about a year into the purchase. It would only do this off and on. Finally about a month ago, it strarted doing it every time I used the microwave. Luckily, my husband is handy and was able to order the faulty part and install it himself. It ended up costing us about $40. I'm sure if I had taken it somewhere to be repaired, it would have been more cost effective to buy a new one. This was disappointing as my previous microwave was about 15 - 20 years old and never gave us a bit of trouble till the very end. Can't say I would recommend this microwave. Maybe look to another brand or model if you are in the market.
