The miniature snow globe lights up and plays one of 11 different songs when you push a button. The snow in the globe swirls when you do this. It is neat to watch.
It is simple and unsophisticated, but it's intriguing. I just like to hit the button and have the hint of the Christmas season arriving. I like the different songs and the swirling snow in the globe is fun to watch.
The music plays a lot longer than some press and play decorations. The songs are random, so you don't know which one will play at any time. The songs are: Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, Joy to the World, O Christmas Tree, O Come All Ye Faithful, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Silent Night, The First Noel, The Twelve Days of Christmas, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
You can keep it in a mode where it plays continuously, or so that it will just play when the button is pushed (for one song). You can also set it so that the snow swirls and the lights are on, but there is no sound.
It takes 3 AA batteries which are included with the globe. For indoor use only.
Probably if there are younger kids in the home it would be an annoyance to have them playing it all the time.
This snow globe is still playing music and lighting up, but the snow has all disappeared. I don't know if it has broken up and fallen down into the base, or disintegrated. It's still fun, but I liked the snow.
