George Foreman Xl Family Grill By 999frights on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I really like the George Foreman XL Family Grill. It is versatile and cooks so fast. When I use it, there is very little mess and it is very easy to clean. I find it best to clean the grill immediately after using it, while it is still hot. If I wait, I will heat it back up and then clean it.

When I say versatile, you can put so much more on this thing than just burgers. You can do hamburgers, sandwiches, chicken. I even just saw something on The Food Network that was a competition where college students were cooking on their George Foremans. I like that when I cook burgers on it, the grease drips off into a white dish, so our burgers are not so greasy.

What I don't like about my George Foreman is that if I am not careful, my burgers can come out really dry because of overcooking. This thing cooks so fast, you have to be careful not to overcook. I also do not like cooking chicken on this grill because I don't want to quick cook chicken. It's too bad you can't adjust the temperature on the grill and cook at a lower setting.

The photo on the box of this grill shows 6 burgers being cooked at once. That really is not realistic. I can cook 3 decent size burgers and they are not huge, just the right size for buns.
