George Strait Somewhere Down In Texas By ArmyNiece on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am not a big fan of the older Country stars, but one exception is George Strait. He is such a great singer, and this is a great CD that shows his super skills. Some of the best songs on this CD are "The Seashores of Old Mexico" and "She Let Herself Go." While I like a bunch of the other songs, for some reason they did not become hits and so I don't know them very well. Since I don't know them, I do not listen to this CD as much as my others. When I do listen to it, I tend to just skip around and listen to a few of the songs and then move on to another one. But it is a good CD. What I really like about it is my mom really loved George Strait so when we go somewhere together, I always take it so that we can liten to it together. She loves to sing together to the songs when we take long trips. Even my little sister knows the words to "She Let Herself Go." I think my mom likes this one because it is real personal for her. It is very similar to what she went through when she was younger.
