Gerber Biter Biscuits By Seraph on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

While my daughter loves these things, I can't say the same for myself. Simply put, these biscuits have ruined so many clothes of hers...it's quite scary.

I had heard from a few parents that these were a great teething item, and since my daughter was starting to cut her first tooth, I decided to invest in a box of them to try out. They looked like a great item at first...cheap...packed with vitamins...and the biscuits themselves were shaped like an elongated Nutter Butter cookie. On top of that, my daughter seemed to love the taste...but that's where the big problem came into play.

Since she didn't have any teeth...she did what all babies do....gnawed and sucked on the biscuit. This caused it to quite literally melt in her hands...quickly creating a mess of epic proportions. The worst part is...the melty mess literally stains instantly, no matter how fast you apply any stain-stopping treatments. We tried bibs, napkins in her collar...it ddn't matter. The melting biscuit got EVERYWHERE.

After six onesies fell to the staining horror...we threw out the rest of the biscuits and changed to letting her chew on bagels. They may be more expensive...but at least I won't have to toss our ruined outfits anymore!
