Reviewing: Gerber Yogurt Melts, Strawberry Flavored
Purchased at: Walmart, Winco Foods, Just About Any Store That Sells Baby Foods     Price: $2.89 USD

We have been experimenting a lot lately with different snacks for my son. He is 9 month sold and constantly wants to munch. He likes to feed himself...and he is flat out refusing baby food at this point. So I wanted to find some healthy snacks for him and things that were possibly less of a choke hazard than regular grown up snacks. So we have been making our way through the Gerber Graduates products.

Gerber Graduates Strawberry Yogurt Melts are one of my sons favorite snacks.

I love them because they are 99% real yogurt and fruit, they contain live and active cultures, NO artificial colors or sweeteners, No preservatives, and I couldnt believe itthey are NOT AT ALL MESSY!

INGREDIENTS:

Cultured Reduced Fat Milk, Sugar, Strawberry puree, nonfat dry milk, Tapioca starch, Gelatin, Natural flavor, Lactic acid, esters of mono- and diglygerides, fruit and vegetable juice colors.

The serving size is Cup and there are about 4 cups per container.

Nutrition info, theres30 Calories, 15mg of sodium, 50mg of potassium, 5g total carbohydrates, 4 g sugars, and 1 g protein. Everything else is 0.

OUR EXPERIENCE:

These Yogurt melts are about the size of a dime and the shape looks a lot like a squished Hersheys kiss. They are light pink in color (the strawberry ones are anyways) and have an airy texture. The entire bag (4 servings) weighs 1 ounce so they are VERY light weight.

Before I gave these to my son for the first time I tested one. When I placed it in my mouth I was surprised how fast it started melting. Within 20 seconds it was pretty much dissolved. It just melts away. This made me feel much safer about giving these to my son (less of a choke hazard).

They have a mild taste- like strawberry yogurt. I cant imagine that they would be very filling as a snack because they are so light. However I do like that it gives my son different textures and flavors to experience. I try to keep him trying new things hoping that he will not become a super picky eater!

These are great finger foods; they are NOT messy at all! No stickiness, no mushy mess in the high chair, no crumbling either. I actually keep a bag of these in our diaper bag for when we are out and about (baby gets restless when we are shopping) and they have been perfect when he needs a little something.

The package is labeled Graduates for Toddlers Yogurt Melts and also says this product should only be fed to seated, supervised children who are accustomed to chewing solid foods. Well I dont know if my son is considered a toddler but I most definitely supervise him and we have had NO problems what so ever. Everyones baby is different so just be sure yours is ready when you introduce these!

Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts also come in Peach and Mixed Berry flavors. Yes, my son loves them all! I highly recommend these! These have been a great addition to my sons snack variety.
