Reviewing: Nintendo Wii Wii Fit Plus
Purchased at: Target     Price: $100.00 USD

I recently purchased a Wii and the Wii Fit Plus game for my mom so she could get in shape without the hassles of going to the gym. I tried playing it and now I am addicted to it. At first I thought there is no way that this little board and a game could get me sweating, but I was wrong. The first thing you do is pick your Wii character (Mii) and then the Wii Fit board weighs you and checks your balance. Then it will tell you your body mass index and tell you how healthy your body is. Then you can start playing and working out. There is Yoga, Aerobics, Strength training, Balance, and games. It's hard to believe you could do all that on the little board that the game comes with but it really does work. I just did the push up challenge today and was spent. I average about 300 calories burned every half hour, which is really amazing. The game keeps track of your progress and even tries to motivate you to play the game everyday. It gives fitness tips, it helps you see how many calories you are eating, and keeps track of all the calories you are burning. You can set goals which helps you achieve your long term fitness goals step by step. Another awesome feature is that you can take the things you like to do on the game and make a routine out of them. Wii Fit Plus is the real deal, and if you are looking to get in shape and have fun doing it then you should try out Wii Fit Plus!

Update On Jan 04, 2010: I got caught up in talking about the games features and forgot to mention the most important part. This game is a lot of fun! You can challenge your friends and family to games and everyone can get in shape with you. You can even get your pet involved!

I hear your excitement over this & think it's terrific - but was it at all fun? I've been waivering on whether or not to make this purchase. If it's fun - it'll keep my attention.

Its really fun. It doesn't even seem like a workout, its more like just playing a game but you'll burn calories playing it. Theres a lot of different things to do with it so you'll never get bored either.

I have the Wii Fit. I do the Yoga to stretch and relax, and shh, don't tell my body that I'm actually working out and toning up.

I have had my eye on this game for a while but wondered if it would be worth it. After reading your review, I think I will try it out. Thanks for sharing.
