Ever since I can remember, I have always had a problem with tangles, snarls and snags. In fact, I had lop off all of my long hair when I was in the second grade. In essence, the goal of the haircut was to reduce the combing time my mom needed to do everyday just so my hair wouldn't look like a bird's nest.

Using something effective to detangle is an essential for me. I find the wider the comb, the more surface area it covers. Thus, I am able to get rid of my knots quicker. It does not miss any knots!

This is a strong tool. In the 4 years or so that I have had it, I have never had a problem with any of the teeth breaking off, the comb bending or any parts chipping. Any of this damage could feasibly happen since my hair is so thick, long and tangle-prone.

I find this to be so effective that it works all by itself on dry hair without detangler. I have used it with detangler. I have also used it in the shower while my hair is coated with conditioner, but I am saying that it has the ability to detangle all on its own.

The comb is about 6 inches long. The space between each tooth of the comb measures a bit over 1/4 of an inch.
