Our little one received this First Act Discovery beginner Guitar for Christmas. It's a small take on a big guitar, made especially for little hands. The first thing the gift giver said, "I know it's for an older kid, but I wanted to get her an early start."
This designer acoustic guitar is for children 7 and up. It seems well suited for children that age and size. Our little one will grow into it, but for now she strums it as it rests on her lap. It is getting her started and giving her an interest in music.
The First Act Discovery guitar comes with a strap, a "learn to play system," chord cards, an extra set of stings, and of course the guitar.
We have been very pleased with her progress. She has already learned the strings, the parts of the guitar, and how to properly handle, place, and care for an instrument.
As far as sound quality goes this is a true instrument. A player with the talent to play can really make this First Act Discovery guitar sing. I was truly impressed when my husband and older daughter played a few tunes on it.
