I am Greek with a extra thick wavy long head of hair. It takes alot of energy to detangle, dry and style this mane of mine. I also go through brushes alot. I have found that the conair brushes last a really long time with me and put up with my abuse. I love the new Conair 'N' Color brush. It's still a square headed brush but in an array of cool colors to choose from. The handle has a ribbed, squishy, gel like handle to protect your hands from getting sore. The bristles are plastic with a protective plastic bead at the end of each bristle to protect youe scalp from scratching. The plastic beads match the color of your brush. Most brushes lose those protective beads as soon as they have to tackle a tough tangle, but not this brush. I love that the square head of the brush os large and that the bristles are longer than most brushes. This really helps me get through my hair. I've learned that blowdrying with this brush helps me get a straighter look before I even flat iron.
