I do not have cable/satellite TV. I live out in the middle of nowhere and it's hard for us to get service out here. I always enjoy watching cable stations when at a friend's house or in hotels though. In October I went to Springfield, Ill for the weekend and since it was the day before Halloween I was flipping through channels in the hotel and ran across the Travel Channels "Ghost Adventures". The travel channel was showing episodes all day long that day and I got hooked FAST. I LOVED watching this show.

Ghost Adventures is a show showcasing three people (Zak, Nick and Aaron) as they travel from haunted place to haunted place and get "locked down" in these haunted building for a 12 hour period over night to try to get video and audio proof of the haunting. It is filled with history and humor and amazing proof of the paranormal. The team is Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin. They use digital video and EVP recorders and many other fun gadgets to capture spirits on film. Some times the show can get a little scary, the Moon River Brewery episode for example, when Nick was partially possessed by an angry spirit. There are also humorous times, for example, when they are walking around in complete darkness and they run into a door or Zak pokes Nick in the eye because he can't find him. All and all these three make a great team to take on the paranormal. The Episodes are amazing and I have yet to see one that has not thrilled me.

The first season on DVD is a 2 disk set and it includes the following Episodes:

Moundsville Penitentiary - Moundsville, WV

Bobby Mackey's Music World - Wilder, KY

Houghton Mansion - North Adams, MA

Riddle House - West Palm Beach, FL

Sloss Furnace - Birmingham, AL

Former Psychiatric Hospital - Northern NJ

Edinburgh Vaults - Edinburgh, Scotland

Old Idaho Penitentiary - Boise, ID

The special features include: Scariest Moments, Zak's Gear Guide, Deleted Scenes and Trailers
