Gift For Brother In Law Folding Hunting Knife By jb_shops on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
On the rare occasion I am able to go hunting, I want to make the most of my experience. So I look for 3 qualities in all of my hunting gear: function, size/weight, durability. This knife gets high marks on all of these plus more.
Function: the blade holds a sharp edge. Isn't this what you demand of a knife? The partial serrated blade adds versatility. The second blade is a 3-1/2" bone-saw hook. The locking mechanism is easy to operate and safely holds the blades in place.
Size/Weight: Excellent balance. It fits perfectly in my hand and is lighter than my heavy buck knife.
Durability: the handle & blade both have taken some abuse and maintained its simple clean appearance
The case serves its simple function of holstering the knife and protects from damage.
Negative: the one reservation I have with the knife is when I clean it. The knurling on the rubbery handle provide excellent grip but are hard to clean out.
Conclusion: I was given this knife as a gift and have since purchased other Remington knives to give away. I strongly recommend.
