Gift For The Empress By Dom Sim on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Whwn I was in Kota Kinablu last March, my friend told me that this liqueur is very nice. We looked all over Kota Kinabalu town but couldn't find any at all. Not until on our journey back, we found it at the Eraman Duty Free shop in the airport. All in all we bought all the 6 bottles available in the shop to bring home.

The first thing I reached home that night is to open it and taste to see how nice it is. I tell you the taste is really really nice. It has the essence of fresh lychee fruit. The nice pink liqueur is kept in a equally nice frosted Oriental-style bottle. The taste is simply sweet, clean, natural taste and delicious despite of alcohol content of 20%. I did add some ice cubes to it to make it cold and more refreshing.

Legend had it that Emporer Ming of the Tang dynasty serves Empress Kwai Fei with this liqueur. Empress Kwai Fei was so pleased with the liqueur that she rewarded him with her delightful smiles and appreciative heart. Hence that is the liqueur fit for an Empress!!
