Gigabyte Fx 5200 128 Agp Vga Card By edev5 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We installed our PC with this VGA card, Gigabyte FX 5200 128/AGP, as my brother recommended it to us. I'm not so sure what those numbers mean, but I can assure you that this VGA card had done a great job (no troubles with our PC display at all, great for gaming as well) for as long as we had used it for almost three years now. Well, not until two months ago.

Our PC was down two months ago (it wouldn't turn on when I hit the ‘turn on' button) and we decided to bring it to the nearest computer service centre. The guys at the service centre promised us to find what might be the problems and promised to call us as soon as they found the problems. We got the call from them on the second day after we brought the PC. They said it was the power supply and thus it affected on the VGA card, and they also informed us that there was no way they can fix the power supply and the VGA card (both of them had been damaged) and so we needed to replace them immediately. Actually I believe that Gigabyte is really a great brand for VGA cards, and if it hadn't been because of the power supply, I still believe that our old VGA card would still be doing okay. Now we have replaced with a new one (newer version), but still, we trust Gigabyte for our VGA card.
