Gilette Deodorant: Because Three's Better Than One By Ambrose Burnside on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Decided to try a stick of Gillette deodorant out- I've been an Old Spice man for ages, but I realized it's more of an old-man deodorant, no matter how it's marketed. Fairly well-priced- a little more expensive than the generic stuff but cheap enough to be competitive. The Tri-Protection stuff comes in a twist-out gel tube- alright, but stick-type solid deodorants still win in my book unless you need an unreasonably huge amount of product dispensed. It smells alright- this is big in my book, because some deodorants just smell off, and then man-musk would probably be preferrable. But it smelled pretty good- a little antiseptic, to be sure, and best described as smelling like deodorant, but that's sort of expected. It had started wearing off at the end of a 14-hour hike, but that's still good performance. A solid deodorant- in gel form.

My youngest boy perspires heavily and most of the men's deodorants just didn't work. This one did, making him much more pleasant to be around Ambrose. It does have a faint antiseptic tang to it, but it works.
