Give Me A Shake Please! A Milkshake By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Sometimes you just want an old fashioned milkshake, but you don't want to go out to get it. That's when the Hamilton Beach Drink Master is nice to have around. It features 2 speeds, and has a large mixing cup, and a mixing spindle. it's fun to make shakes with ice cream and milk, or by adding some chocolate syrup to the mixture.
My experience with it is sort of a love/hate relationship. It is extremely noisy, and even on high speed it takes quite a bit of time to actually mix a decent shake. You have to make sure that you leave plenty of room in the mixing cup, or everything will go flying out.
Okay, let's face it--it doesn't claim to be the latest techno mixer--just a practical small appliance. I often enjoy mixing juice drinks with it also, for a punch-type beverage. I'm sure that a lot of times I could make a better (and faster) shake in my regular blender, but this little drink mixer is small and handy. It's especially nice when you don't want to have to take out and clean up larger appliances, or make a huge production. While I definitely think it could be vastly improved upon, I'm still glad that I have one.
