Glue Sticks Elmer's Washable School Glue By sconf on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
As a Sunday School teacher and mom of young children, we have a lot of experience with glue sticks. I purchased the Elmer's Washable School Glue Sticks because I have had positive experiences with other Elmer's glue products. I also liked the idea that the glue is colored (purple) so that you can see where it is being applied. As a plus, when it dries, it is becomes clear. The color tint is my favorite part about this product. I have also found that the glue holds very well with paper projects, not as well with fabric or decorations (such as sequins, wiggle eyes, beads...) as advertised. This glue also cleans up easily from table and desktops, especially when soap and water are used. It also washes off of hands and clothing well. On the negative side, younger children may have trouble with getting the cap off and on, most had to have assistance. We also found that after a couple of weeks, any unused glue begins to dry out and become difficult to use. Overall, this is good child-friendly product that is much less messy than regular glue and I would recommend it.
