I recently went through an extensive insurance search and GMAC Insurance was one of the options in the cards. However, I passed them by after the sticker shock I got from the quote they gave me.

I put GMAC Insurance in my selection process partially out of pity. GM is hurting enough, and what's good for GM as the saying goes is good for the country.

However, with the policy I wanted there was no way GMAC would get my business. It was twice the cost of what their competitors offered me. Could it be that GMAC isn't interested in the business of younger drivers?

The quote process was painless enough, and the company seems reliable enough, but again the price was too high. GMAC lost out because of how they priced themselves to me.

Beyond that, I would say give them a try for a quote, but I'm not sure if it will get you what you want.
