Gnc Fish Oil Capsules By 1gshock on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

In most cases, fish oil is fish oil. There are many benefits and as long as you are taking the right amounts of the omega 3 fatty acids (that are in fish oil), you should see the benefits. GNC's fish oil capsules are good in that they don't smell like fish, contain the omega 3 fatty acids and encourage the benefits of the oil. However, once I did more research on other fish oil products I found that the recommended dosage on the GNC bottle is a little low, in that you actually need to take three or more times the serving size to get the real benefits of the product. These capsules are somewhat costly so going through a bottle three times as fast as you thought you would makes them a fairly poor value.

There is also the existence of "fish burps" which is when you burp and it tastes like fish. These do happen (if you actually burp soon after taking them) with this product, but they aren't as bad as some of the horror stories I've heard from other products. As someone who hates fish, I don't mind them at all when taking these particular capsules.

The capsules are somewhat large so if you can't tolerate large pills I do not recommend them. Otherwise, they're a fine product if you aren't looking for larger quanities of omega 3 fatty acids. I am, so my next brand choice will be a little different.
