After buying this game on the recommendation of a friend, I was hooked. Based on a spartan named Kratos, you are tricked by the god of war Aries into killing your family, after Aries gave you the power of immortality and to lead an army to conquer. You then set out on your quest to kill Aries. The visuals on this game are amazing for the ps2. The controls are fluid and very responsive. Plenty of quick time mini games for bosses and enemies. The story will keep you very compelled as you guide Kratos through Athens, hell, and the temple of time. It leaves you wanting more in so many ways. Plus if you do beat the game, there is plenty of replay value not only in the difficulty levels, but also challenges of the gods and such. Check this game out if you are a fan of the action genre.
