Reviewing: Godaddy Domains
Purchased at: Godaddy

Godaddy is very famous domain registrar. I bought domain there for just $0.99! Yes, thats true. Promotions, special offers, discounts will be going on daily. Its the best domain registrar. When you buy domain you will also get some free products such as a free email. That will be like admin@yoursite.com. Not only a email, you will also get free webhosting there. But the problem is that they keep a big Godaddy banner above your site. The disk space and bandwidth they offer are very much sufficient for many sites and blogs. The big top banner is the only problem. If you think I dont care about that Ad then Godaddy is everything you need. No need to buy hosting separately. Also some reviews say that Godaddy web hosting is slow. So for people who look after free webhosting, you can find a lot better free webhosts which are much more reliable and fast than Godaddy. Some free webhosts I like are Freehostia, Astahost, Awardspace and 000webhost. These webhosts are there for a long time and still are providing good webhosting service. Unlike Godaddy, these free webhosts wont force you to place Ads your blog. My suggestion is that you buy a domain at Godaddy and use free webhosting. These free webhosts offer a decent diskspace and bandwidth.

I've been using godaddy for years and I take advantage of the free domain hosting for some of my sites. But they have gone up quite a bit over the years. When I started, it was $6.99 per domain name, now they are $10.99 and sometimes you can get them for $9.99, for a .com - .org sites are $11.99. I wish they'd give more of a break for renewals. There are times when the free hosting chokes up and the site takes awhile to load in, but I can't complain, since it's free. But if you need a site without much down time, it's best to pay for hosting. The ads at the top are not that obtrusive, so the free hosting works for me.
