Going, Going, Almost Gone! By annajoyce on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have had three knee surgeries. I have the scars to prove it, as shown in the pictures only a month after my third surgery through the same incisions. I've tried many expensive scar treatments years ago, but went back to vitamin E. Vitamin E is a powerful nutrient. I poke a hole with a pin in the little capsule and apply it directly on all my scars and let it absorb and do it's work. You could, however, swallow the capsule and benefit greatly as well. Basically, unless you drink corn oil or eat a ton of sunflower seeds everyday, the only way to increase your vitamin E intake is with supplements. Vitamin E is an antioxidant and helps to maintain a healthy heart. I believe there are eight-forms of vitamin E. But the vitamin E with the label dl-apha is the only one that really gives you more for your money. I've been interested in health and nutrition for a couple years now and try to get my nutrients either from food or supplements. I'm no professional, but the results have sold me, I think my scars look great only a month after surgery.
