Good Beginner Guitar By Cheez on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Behringer V-Tone guitar was my very first guitar and I would recommend it to beginners who want to learn how to play without paying a lot of money. The guitar is similar in appearance to a Fender, and is almost indistinguishable from a few Fender models. The kit also includes an amp, a guitar cable, a few picks, a gig bag, a guitar strap, a chord chart and a book with playing and amp setting tips.

I think this is a pretty good deal for only $120. The included amp is small, but powerful and feature a variety of sound options. The guitar is a 22 fret maple neck, and it has pretty good sound quality for a beginner guitar. The included strings aren't that great, but they are still playable. I chose to change the strings right after I bought it. Also, when I first got it the guitar seemed not to stay in tune very long, but I no longer have this problem. It may have been user-error.

Overall, this is a great guitar for beginners on a budget and I would highly recommend it.
