Good Performance By Jessica Alba By edev5 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

“The Eye” is just another horror movie I adore, with Jessica Alba in it. The story is about a blind talented violinist, Sidney (Jessica Alba) who finally got her eyes transplanted. Right after she got operated, she could see ghosts. Terrifying of what she could see, she then tried to reveal who her donator was, what the story behind the eyes that she just received was, and what her new eyes wanted her to do.

Jessica Alba's performance was tremendous. I could see her struggle playing as a blind terrorized woman and she could do it very well. The plot was okay, although I must say that this is not the original concept. The film is indeed a remake of "The Eye" Chinese film ("Jin Gui"). Compared to its original one, I think the movie is less scary. I don't know what's wrong, but it seems that Chinese setting is more gut shaking than this one. The good thing is that it has Jessica Alba's performance and Parker Posey as her sister. Also, it has good morale message. DVD extras include deleted scenes, trailer, and scene selection. Watch the original Chinese movie first before watching this one. You could see the difference then...
