Goodbye Cable, Hello Direc Tv! By PrincessLuLu on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I don't think I can ever go back to cable. I'm hooked on DirecTV.

I have the 155 channel, Total Choice package. And frankly that's all I need. You might choose the 185 or 250 package, however.

I had satellite tv a few years ago before it was standard for them to carry the local channels. That was a deal breaker. Now with the addition of the locals, I'm all set!

I am very please with the reception. We did have trouble for a few months. It seems that when we installed the dish, it was placed in a spot that turned out not to be ideal--when the seasons changed and the leaves grew back on the surrounding trees, we lost our signal. No problem. The service techs came right out and fixed it.

The channels available offer a lot of variety. I do wish there were more choices on the packages. An ala cart choice would be ideal! But we're fully satisfied with the choices from movies channels to sports, music, childrens, and entertainment.

I like DirecTV, I just wished they like me the loyal customer as much as the switching cable customer.
