Goodyear Eagle Ls By jb_shops on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
These tires were installed as original equipment on a cross-over utility vehicle. I have since replaced these tires with a new set of Michelins and I am glad I did. These Goodyears were very good for about the first 18 thousand miles. I rotated the tires every 6 thousand miles but after the 18K round the tires performance went down. The ride suddenly deteriorated, I had the tires balanced and looked by the dealer. Two of them were replaced and at again at about 18K the same thing happened.
The tread pattern is fairly conservative -- made for the city not the country (as they should be).
These tires are not noisy and they have good traction. These are also nice looking tires, that simply don't perform over the long-run.

That's too bad that the tires started deteriorating after 18,000 miles but it looks like you found tires that are even better!
Tires are such a crap shoot. Thanks for good info.
Thanks for the info... I generally go with Michelen anyways...
Wow - you should be able to get more than 18k miles out of tires. Thanks for the warning!
Thanks for this! I will definitely not be buying these tires!
