Google Chrome By June Bug Co By JuneBugCo on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I enjoy surfing the web with Google Chrome web browser. I cannot say the same for Internet Explorer. I was using Internet Explorer exclusively and grew exceedingly tired of waiting for web pages to load not to mention the long wait for emails to open so I decided to give Google Chrome a try, it is free to download. It only took a few minutes to download. Compare that to Internet Explorer where it seems like it takes an hour just to download an update.

Clicking on the Google Chrome icon results in almost instant access to the internet. My emails open in a flash too. The layout for Google Chrome is somewhat simple which is just fine with me. When I access the internet I am looking for performance, not bells and whistles. The home page provides thumbnails of your most visited websites. Click on an image and go directly to the website. You can remove a thumbnail or check out you web browsing history. Your recent bookmarks and recently closed websites are also displayed.

Google Chrome can have multiple pages opened at the same time. Click on the plus symbol to the right of the tab to open another tab. Each new tab opens the same as the home page, with thumbnails of the most visited websites and book marked favorites. I generally like to have a separate tab opened for my email account, my blog, Squidoo, SharedReviews and Twitter. I can still open additional tabs if I want to conduct a search or visit some other website. With the performance of Google Chrome I can now actually multitask when I surf the web.

There is a drawback to using Google Chrome. Text cannot be pasted into some website applications. For example, Google Chrome has problems pasting text when creating a product review on SharedReviews. I also have problems editing my personal website when using Google Chrome. Whenever I need to paste text on a website that Google Chrome cannot handle I simply launch Internet Explorer. Other than the text pasting issue Google Chrome is a fantastic web browser.

Never herd of it. Right now I stick with Firefox. Sounds like GC still needs some updates.

I love Google Chrome! It does have some issues but I am sure they will fix it soon. For it being so new it is great.

Google Chrome is way more efficient than Mozilla. mozilla runs too slow and doesn't handle flash very well.

I have Google Chrome but don't use it that often. I am mostly a Firefox person but it's been crashing a lot lately. I may give Google Chrome another shot. I do like the opening page showing the images of sites you recently visited. That's been one feature I find very useful. Thanks

I agree, Internet Explorer is just a total disaster. I've switched to Firefox and never went back. I'm still a bit skeptical about Chrome because its new and one of the major things I like about Firefox is the AdBlocks Plus Add-On. I think I'll wait for Google to update it further

I use Google Chrome only to download files. My main browser is Firefox but it does not download files well so I use Google Chrome for that.
