Google Chrome By Rob Mooney By Rob Mooney on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Google Chrome is a recently developed web browser that was set to go up against Mozilla FireFox and even Safari. When the beta was released and consumers got a chance to experience and evaluate this browser first hand, the reviews and opinions that followed weren't necessarily good. As optimistic as I am, I found the simplicity of Chrome to be a little irritating which to me made the entire program worthless. After using it a while I gradually became fond of it. I mean, I didn't like it as much as FireFox 3.0 (What I'm currently running on) but it was good. what I didn't really like however which was previously stated, the simplicity and I'm also a sucker for an extensive library of add-ons and features which Chrome seemed to have lacked. This is the beta keep in mind so there's room for minor change. Once I downloaded the actual release, even though at first glance there weren't many changes, if any at all. I actually found it very useful and intuitive. I recommend this if you're looking for a simple alternative to FireFox or Safari but then again who would want an alternative for those browsers?
