Goooal! Fifa World Cup Soccer For The Nintendo Ds By Bluedog on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My son loves soccer. Plays it, watches it, talks about it and now can bring his obsession to a new level with Fifa games. This game recreates the World cup last year for game play. All the countries, all the teams. They even include the stadiums where the games were played.

Heres the problem. Since its just the World cup teams, there is far less variety than you find in regular Fifa games. It got boring pretty quick.

The other problem is that Fifa doesn't translate well to such a small screen as the DS has. The players are minuscule! You can't see your commands being executed well and it kind of made my son's head hurt to play this game for long periods of time. Sadly despite all the money, he never touches this game.

We have another version for the PS2 and he looves it. If fact he's playing it right now! So not an indictment of the Fifa franchise, just this game for this platform. I'd reconsider if you're thinking about buying this game.

One general note about DS games, get a big case for them, they are so small, postage stamp size. (Check out the picture, thats the game on top of the 4 inch high box). They get lost all the time.
