Gotcha! Esd 7000 Review By CarbonatedSoda on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I received this as more of a gag gift from my sister, she has always teased me about being a "
lead foot" so for my last birthday she presented me with this radar detector. For no more than it cost I think it will be very beneficial to me!
It is actually pretty small, I like the way it looks and it was very easy to install. It has a small suction cup that attaches to your windshield and it plugs into your lighter outlet. It is suppose to catch radars for 360*, I do not know if that part is true but I have not been pulled over yet since getting this (knock on wood!).
This display is bright enough to see, yet not distracting to me. It also has a mute mode, along with a city or highway mode. The city mode is suppose to not pick up building and house alarms but I have found that it still does at times. The most important things is that it picks up the right radars and so far in my case it has. Thanks Sis!! :D
Cobra ESD 7000 Purchased at: Gift Price: $50.00

Great price! Less than the cost of a speeding ticket!
Knock on wood is right! Don't speed--and stop for pedestrians! WW-V:)
What a fun gift. I don't know if radar detectors are legal around here.
This is what I need! $50.00 is nothing compared to the $195.00 ticket I just got a couple of weeks ago!. ( don't you think it's just wrong for a motorcycle cop to hide on a sidestreet with his speed gun pointed at you?!)
Sounds like a nice detector for only $50.
Now if they would only invent something that would make me stop running through the yellow light!
Your sister knew what she was doing when she got this for you!!!!
Glad your gag gift turned out to be a very useful one!
Good price for such a good radar detector, what a great sister you have to be so thoughtful.
This thing can save you a lot of money from being fine.It is not legal here.
