Gotta Get a Garmin

What started out as an un-asked for holiday gift turned into my new favorite toy! Living in a large metropolitan area, I'm frequently driving to new places, even though I've lived here for nearly 15 years. It is so nice to just plug in an address and have my dear, sweet Garmin (who is now like a member of the family...I'm seriously considering adding her to my will) give me turn by turn directions. It will even recalculate your directions if you make a wrong turn or get detoured by construction. The display is clear, although fairly small, and operates by a touch screen. You can see your speed (much to my husband's chagrin) as well as the estimated time of your arrival to the destination you entered. You can choose a male or female voice, and even if you want an American or British accent to give you the directions. I never fear a trip to a new area of town now. The Garmin is amazin!
