We chose the Graco Step 1 carseat for my daughter. The color we have is French Roast, a lovely combination of chocolate and soft green. We wanted a gender-neutral color even though we knew we were having a girl so that we could use the carseat for future babies and this was an excellent choice! We also purchased the coordinating stroller.

This car seat is slightly wider than others made by Graco, so we occasionally have a hard time getting it into booths at restaurants. It's not too much of a problem but something to consider. However, I love that it feels so sturdy and safe for my daughter! The fabric is typical for car seats, a synthetic that doesn't show stains much. I have had a problem with her shoes that have velcro on the outside causing "pulls" on the fabric but that could happen with any model.

Overall, I love how sturdy and solid this car seat is!
