Graco SafeSeat Travel System-Kendall Pattern
By MissAngie onWhen my son was born 9 pounds and 7 ounces, we decided we'd better get a carseat that would last a little longer than the usual infant carrier types. We chose the Graco SafeSeat in Kendall pattern.
This carseat is rated for up to 32 inches, and 30 pounds. It was very easy to install the base in our Dodge Neon. Also, the base and seat fit very comfortably in our small car.My son also likes to be snuggled in his seat, so it must be comfy!
We have not been in an accident with this seat, thank goodness, but properly installed it is supposed to be very safe.
The only issue I have with this system is since the carseat is bigger and longer, it is of course, heavier. So I gave it a lower rating for portability. It's tough to carry this one around comfortably.
Overall, we're very happy with our choice of this travel system.

We used Graco for our infant car seats and loved the way it held babies snug stable and secure. Though it IS very heavy, I translate that into more safety for a child.
We used Graco as well from infant car seats to booster seats-I felt safer that the seats were a little heavy because I knew that it would protect my son even more!!
I've used Graco car seats when my two were little. I swear by their products.
We have a Graco travel system and we love it!
I think most of the seats are hard to carry, even if they are smaller. And since you have a nice big boy, you've got a great big (heavy) bundle of joy!
We had the opposite problem with our son....he was 4 pouds 14 ounces when he was discharged from the hospital at birth. Glad to hear that you found the perfect car seat for your little one.
It is hard to find a good car seat for a small car. I have a honda civic and I know fit is key! good find!
